8-Channel Receiver IMVP for Induced Polarization Method
Multi-channel electrical exploration receiver "IMVP" is designed for carrying out works by the induced polarization (VP) method in the frequency and/or time domain. It may also be used when carrying out works with the use of the constant current (resistances), frequency sounding (ChZ) methods, and a differentially normalized method of electrical exploration (DNME).
Features
The receiver simultaneously records a signal with 8 MN receiver circuits, where the M electrode for one receiver circuit may serve as an N electrode of the next one.
All wires may be united in one 8-channel bunch or two bunches, 4 channels in each.
The receiver always operates jointly with a PC (notebook computer): the PC is used to control the receiver and record the signal
Communication with the PC is performed via the USB interface.
Advantages
IMVP provides for increasing labor productivity, reducing work costs and increasing the information content of the induced polarization method.
· This is a state-of-the-art, portable, free-running, multi-channel and high-precision equipment.
· The increase of the method information content is achieved due to response registration both in the frequency domain (INFAZ-VP method) in a wide frequency range and in the time domain.
· High precision of registration (the receiver is equipped with 24-bit ADC in each channel) and long-time continuous recording with a rather narrow sampling increment (2500 Hz) make it possible to use different algorithms for studying the time-and-frequency characteristics of the induced polarization process.
· The time-and-frequency relations of the induced polarization provide for distinguishing between different types of rocks and ore minerals.
