Two-channel GPR OKO-2
Moscow, Russia, August 3, 2008 – Research and Development Center GEOTECH announces a two-channel GPR unit designed for locating the exact position of deep and shallow objects simultaneously. The core of this new device is a two-channel control unit coupled with two antennas for easy use.
Designed on a new technical platform the two-channel control unit preprocesses data from two antennas and transforms signals for the laptop. The antennas cover frequencies 150 MHz (the depth of sounding up to 16 meter, resolution 35 cm) and 400 MHz (the depth of sounding up to 5 meter, resolution 15 cm).
The two-channel GPR OKO-2 can sound both with two antennas simultaneously and one antenna separately, can visualize the two channels synchronously and process data independently.
This device provides real time results of deep and shallow targets and can be used for geotechnical, geological, geoecological, hydrological, hydrogeological, archeological applications.
It is compatible with the Windows-based system Geoscan 23 for collection of 3D images.
The two-channel GPR OKO-2 will be available in the third quarter of 2008.
